母子線差異 - 釣魚

小弟從最近開始接觸釣魚目前進入自己學綁鉤子、綁線等。
前陣子買了2卷便宜同牌子的線練習。
本來是想說1卷當母線(2號)1卷當子線(1.5號)，但後來查了一下那卷線叫尼龍子線。
有去網路查了母線子線差別，不過各有說法。
請問像這樣稱做子線的可以拿來當母線使用嗎?
還是一定要買專做母線用的釣線呢?
